Armor and Rune question - Guild Wars Forums

1) are runes completely random?/...like is there a chance to get superior vigor rune with a low gold armor?? or theres specific kind of gold armors that get you sup. vigor.

2) for armors..i heard every40 armor you recieve half dmg..so the armor break point is 40..having like 430 Armor is the same with having 400 armor??

1. As far as I know, yes they are random.

2. Armor from piece to piece does not add up. In other words, there is no total armor. The armor that each piece says is the armor for that specific body part. Take a look at Game Mechanics and scroll down to Armor and Defense.

It's too early to try myself to explain logically. Hopefully this post makes sense.

AFAIK the armor on salvagables only has effect on trying to salvage materials.

But now they've made runes 100% salvagable, so... is that just a formality for rune armors?

But not from your own armor... just remember that. its still 50/50 that you will loose your rune if you salvage it out of your old armor for your new armor. I lost a Major Vigor yesterday, but it was not too big a deal cause I had another one in storage.
